Characteristics and types of wind power cables
1. Characteristics of wind power cable operating environment:
Wind power cables are operated outdoors for a long time, vertically suspended, frequently twisted (automatic yaw to wind), exposed to oil pollution (some), and corroded by seawater (special environments).
2. Requirements for wind power cables:
Wind power cables have high mechanical strength, torsion resistance (flexibility), vibration resistance, and oil resistance requirements. In addition, cables used in cold areas should also be resistant to low temperatures (-40 ℃).
3. Wind energy cable structure and materials
Based on the above characteristics, wind power cables are basically rubber type cables (at least used in the wind turbine and the first level tower drum above), with Class 5 or 6 conductors, EPR or silicone rubber insulation, and chloroprene rubber, CPE or TPU sheaths
4. Application scenarios of wind power cables
Inside the engine room, between the engine room and the upper part of the tower, from the lower part of the tower to the box transformer at the bottom of the tower.
5. Types of wind power cables
Used in the cabin: soft wires, control cables, data cables, drag chain cables (used for rotor circuit formation), etc.
Inside the tower: laying wires (lighting) and power cables (fixed laying and twisting)
6. Number of wind energy cables applied in wind turbines
Taking a 1.25MW wind turbine as an example (in the tower and engine room), the tower height is generally around 90 meters, so the number of cables required is calculated as approximately 1km in length. For a wind farm of 50000 kW, a 40km power cable is required.

风能电缆长期运行于室外、垂直悬空敷设、频繁扭转(自动偏航对风)、接触油污(部分)、海水腐蚀(特殊环境)。
2、风能电缆对电缆的要求:
风能电缆的机械强度高、耐扭(柔软)、耐震动以及耐油等要求。另外用在寒冷地区的电缆还要耐低温(-40℃)。
3、风能电缆电缆结构和材料
结合上述特点风能电缆基本上都是橡皮类电缆(至少用在风机和上面第一级塔桶中的电缆),5类或6类导体,EPR或硅橡胶绝缘,氯丁橡胶、CPE或TPU护套
4、风能电缆的应用场合
机舱内部、机舱与塔架上部、塔架下部至塔底箱变处。
5、风能电缆的种类
用于机舱内:软电线、控制电缆、数据线、拖链电缆(用于转子构成回路)等。
塔架内:布电线(照明)、电力电缆(固定敷设和扭转两部分)
6、风机中应用风能电缆的数量
以一台1.25MW的风机为例(塔架和机舱内),塔架高度一般为90米左右,那么仅力缆需要的数量按长度计算约1km。以一个5万kW的风场计算,则需要力缆40km。
